Five possible inbound transfers Leeds United could look at for the 2019/20 season

In this, the second of my early pre season opinion articles, I look at who Leeds United could target as permanent transfers into Elland Road.

Here are 5 potential inbound transfer targets that Leeds could go for.

1- Jarrod Bowen (Hull City)– Bowen has shown glimpses of real class for Hull this season, on a couple of occasions against Leeds and would be a quality addition to any Championship side next season, dependant on fee and wages, could Leeds look at him?

2- Callum O’Dowda (Bristol City)– Having toyed with the idea in the winter but opting and ultimately losing out on a deal for Daniel James from Swansea instead, this could be another potential winger option for Leeds, fee and wages shouldn’t be a problem and O’Dowda is from similar ilk to James, who is now on the radar of Manchester United.

3- Jamal Lowe (Portsmouth)– Lowe has had a tremendously productive year in League One but with Portsmouth having missed out on Promotion to the Championship, maybe he would take the step himself in the way of a club switch. Pace, trickery and an eye for goal are 3 excellent traits in a winger, and wingers are what Leeds need at this moment in time.

4- Reece Brown (Free Agent)– Following heartache in missing out on promotion with Forest Green rovers and his contract being up this summer, could Leeds take a punt on this very talented youngster from the lower leagues? With 11 goals and 15 assists in 2018/19 he could be a great gamble… Remember Jermaine Beckford?

5- Yoann Barbet (Free Agent)– Barbet will be familiar with a similar style of play as Leeds and defenders are definitely needed at Elland Road. With his contract due to expire at Brentford he could be just the kind of player Leeds United need in and amongst the squad next season.

Alright, so there is no striker on the list, but the premium on proven goalscorers is huge and, in my opinion, we have two already, so another one on loan may be the way forward.
